Hi, my name is Sarah Yount. I am a patient advocate at Heart of America Bariatrics. I have been working with Dr. Van Wagner for over four years. Heart of America Bariatrics is a bariatric program solely designated to bariatric surgeries including laparoscopic, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, and Lap-Band procedures. Dr. Wagner has been a bariatric surgeon fulltime for over seven years. Within the office, we have staff that helps patients go through the bariatric process to ensure that they are a candidate for surgery, to help them sign up for educational seminars and provide them with marketing information, to help them make an educated decision on the bariatric procedure that they are interested in. We also have billing staff that helps with the insurance side of getting bariatric surgery. It can be very confusing to understand your insurance and your coverage. We have staff that will help you through that process.
